Abstract. The article presents an interview of Kirill Degtyarev, JEEES deputy editor-in-chief, with Vladimir Syvorotkin, a Doctor of Geology and Mineralogy Sciences and a leading researcher of the Cathedra for Petrology and Volcanology, Geological Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University.  V.L. Syvorotkin advances and proves a conception of hydrogen degasation of the Earth and its influence on the ozone layer, climate changes, and a number of other processes.
