Hydrogen energy – state and prospects

Abstract. The article presents an interview of the deputy editor-in-chief ofJournal of Environmental, Earth and Energy Study KS. Degtyarev with the head of the Laboratory of Hydrogen Energy Technologies of the Joint Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Ph.D. Vasily Borzen-ko. Hydrogen is considered as one of the main components of the new non-carbon energy, although the first experiments on the energy use of hydrogen date back to the beginning of the 19th century. The discussed items: what is hy-drogen as a source of energy, what are the areas of application and prospects for hydrogen energy.
